Meet Me on May 21 at our Open House in Swanzey NH!
Four year old Jeager was rescued from an east Texas shelter. He spent two months putting on weight in a foster home, and his foster mom says "Jaeger is a sweet and gentle giant and so easy to love. I wished I could have kept him forever (but the other dog has behavioral issues and wouldn't accept him). The whole time Jaeger NEVER barked, growled or lunged at her and she was crazy a couple of time. He just looked at her and went on with his business. That is how good natured he is.
He spent time in the front yard with me while I was doing yard work, where he ignored passers by and cars. He loved his outside playtime too. He was accepting of baths, neighbors' dogs, and eye ointment that was needed for an infection. He also did not have an issue with having his food bowl handled while he was eating.
Jeager is crate trained, house trained, and knows several commands. He walks politely on leash. He will bark at oncoming traffic in the car, and will protect his toys from another dog (but doesn't escalate).
Jeager has been fostered with other dogs, and was interested (maybe too interested) in the cats and chickens. School aged kids are fine.
