Nero is a dignified 6 year old rottie boy with a secret puppy side he occasionally shares. Especially with women.  He walks nicely on leash, but he really enjoys walking on a long lunge line where he can explore and check out the scents. He’s not a big boy, but he is solid and well built. He has lived comfortably with a male and female dog in the foster home but absolutely should not live with cats.  He can be redirected and is responsive and wants to bond. He has basic manners and doesn’t climb on the furniture, though he probably would like to be invited. Nero enjoys training sessions. He is protective and will need to know his person or people are confident, however he is a sensitive dog too.

He is crate trained and seems to be house broken, but he will need some continued assistance in remembering the rules, including not to counter surf or sneak goodies from the recycling bin. Home living is still new. He loves being near his people and laying near somebody’s feet and he occasionally will roll over for a belly rub or two, if nobody is looking. Nero would love to be somebody’s forever friend. He is waiting for you!

Originally from Puerto Rico, Nero is enjoying his first winter. He will do best with kids over 12. No cats or small dogs, please.
