Foster needed for 9/18.
Remy came to the Brooklyn NY city shelter when a member of the public found him tied to a fence. He was easy to handle upon intake but pulled a little on leash during his relief walk. Remy pulled out of assessor's hands three times during Look attempt. He stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, mouth open and panting, ears back. Remy followed at the end of the leash for Tag game, body soft, settling easily at end of game. He gently pulled back his paw on both Squeeze attempts, licking assessor's hand. Remy lifted his head out of the Food bowl once assess-a-hand was applied to his cheek. Remy playfully engaged with Toy and Rawhide, keeping a firm grip with a neutral body. When off leash with other dogs, he engages in brief bouts of play. The Behavior Team feels Remy would do well in an Average home. He may benefit from obedience classes to learn leash manners and focus. Remy will come into the program if a foster is found.
