Meet Moe – Your Future Best Friend!

Welcome to the rescue, Moe! This lovable 3-year-old, 115lb Rottweiler is ready to find his forever home after being surrendered by his previous owner. Moe’s size was a bit much for their toddler, as he unintentionally knocked them over in his excitement. But don’t let his big stature fool you—Moe is a sweet, gentle soul who just doesn’t realize how big he is!

Moe is a smart boy who already knows plenty of commands, including sit, come, stay, and down. His treat-driven nature makes him quick to learn new tricks, so he’s sure to impress with a little bit of training! Moe is also a big fan of toys and loves to fetch, though he might hold onto the toy a little longer than you'd like—don’t worry, he’ll trade it for a treat!

When it comes to other animals, Moe is said to do well with both dogs and cats. During his time at the shelter, he met another dog on leash and was excited, wagging his tail and play-bowing—he definitely wants to make friends! If you have other pets, slow and proper introductions are recommended to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.

Moe is crate trained and housebroken, though he might need some guidance while adjusting to a new home. While he is great with children, keep in mind that his size can sometimes lead to unintentional bumps, so a family with older children or one prepared to help him adjust would be ideal. Moe also tends to pull hard on the leash during walks, so a harness or training collar would be beneficial to help with this behavior.

Moe is ready to meet his new family and would love to bring his joyful, playful spirit into your home. If you're in Eastern PA and ready to give this big boy a place to call home, Moe would love to meet you!
