​ You gotta meet Nana! She's an 8 year old puppy. Yes, I know an 8 year old dog is not a puppy. But don't tell Nana that. This girl is a wonderfully lively, playful and fun character. Nana loves to have a tennis ball in her mouth. She does not pull it apart but just holds it. If you toss another one, she'll replace the one she already has and roll around on her back with it. Nana is a sweet, gentle and loving dog. And btw, she has a gorgeous dark brindle coat. 

Nana is looking for a forever foster home. She was found as a stray in New York, where she has spent the last two months at the shelter. She quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite, assisted with evaluations on new dogs (she was a rock star!), and loved her belly rubs.  On September 8, the shelter had to make a tough decision because they lacked space -- and Nana had two days to find rescue. 

Welcome to the rescue, Nana!  

Nana is full of life, loves to take walks, and has excellent house manners. The shelter said she had lived in her previous home with cats but have not seen her with cats. She is social with other dogs, but prefers them to not act like lunatics jumping on her. She is exceptionally people social. Nana loves to play ball and play with her squeaky toys 

Nana is not gaining weight, and multiple tests have been conducted to find out why. No conclusion. She would like someone to let her live with them until it's "time". She is a good girl and deserves to love her life for the next few months/years.  

The rescue will cover her medical expenses within reason, preventatives, and provide a crate (which she really does not need) to the family who can give her a forever couch.
