Fitz!!  Fitz-ayyyyy!  Fitz-Dawg!

Are you looking for your next great companion?  Look no further!  Coming from the Wilds of Baltimore, this not-so-little diamond in the rough is a charming, stunningly handsome, magnificent boy.

Our 21 month old rottie boy Fitz is an active boy who loves to play.  He is gentle with toys, does not chew or destroy them.  If you have a good squeaky toy, he will work hard to please you for the reward.  He loves to play fetch out in the yard (or in the house, if you have enough room!) and will try to initiate tugging with any toy he can.

In true Rottweiler fashion, Fitz is a velcro dog and is happiest when he is with his humans.  He is content to lay on top of your feet and chew a toy or bone and will follow you to the ends of the earth (including the bathroom where he tries to curl up between your legs).  This 75lb hunk thinks he’s a lap dog and would love nothing more than to snuggle up with you on a cold winter’s night.  He loves pets and affection.

Fitz will sit and stay for his food and will wait until the bowl is put down and he is given the “OK.”

He walks very nicely on a leash and he is fully housetrained.  Fitz is crate trained.  He goes in easily when given the “go crate” command and is given a treat when inside.

Fitz is still a true pup and is easily excited.  It is interesting to see him experience things for the first time (like the clothes dryer).  His fosters have been working hard on his jumping (both on people and putting paws on the counter) and he is making progress.  He is mouthy (without pressure) at times, but responds when corrected.

Fitzy is in foster care with other dogs, although can be quite exuberant with them. He’s especially fond of the ladies (and listens when they correct him). He has not been tested with cats, and would do best with older, sturdy kids.

This boy needs a bit of spit polish, but he has a stable temperament and a burning desire to please.  He has been a very good boy in our home!
