Keno is a VERY special boy! He is so lovely and has the absolute BEST temperament. Keno was surrendered by his owners due to having hip dysplasia. It is not determined yet if he is going to absolutely need both hips replaced or if he can live a normal life with some simple pain management and daily conditioning exercises. Keno will be reassessed at the end of March 2022 to determine if it's going in the direction of surgery (at the rescue's expense). Keno is available for adoption, with some provisions that would be written into the contract. He is currently in a foster home getting excellent care and daily muscle building activities. If you are interested in adopting this incredible boy; he will need someone very dedicated to his daily regimen. A one level home would be best with little to no stairs. He will likely develop arthritis ​over the years and that can be painful, his foster mom would really like an older semi-retired couple or adult only home to be sure he's not bumped or banged around too much to prevent fractures or worsen his condition. He is a low energy very chill dude. He really doesn't require a lot. Serious inquiries only will be considered.
