Mocha is a happy and sweet girl that loves everyone. She’s a true wiggle worm. Mocha is full of personality and constantly keeps her foster mom laughing. She will go to the door if she needs to do any personal business outside and rarely ever barks.
She hasn’t met a person that she doesn’t like and soaks up all the attention she can handle. Mocha, although small, is powerful and would benefit from continuing her training to help her learn not to jump in greeting people and walking nicely on a leash.
Mocha has got a handle on house training, crate training, sitting pretty for treats, and playing with toys, although she can de-stuff a toy in seconds flat!! She LOVES car rides and will sit nicely with the window opened and snorting the fresh air. She also loves to cuddle on the couch or snuggle with you for naps. She truly has no clue was personal space is and can’t figure out social distancing. When crated, she has this sweet howl to let people know she is singing the blues because she was left alone, but does settle down quickly.
What she doesn’t like are loud noises and thinks thunderstorms are people trying to come in the house. She will need someone to help her understand that not everything is scary. Mocha is also not a fan of the chickens at her foster home but lives with another female pitbull and a rat terrier mix. There are some squabbles over toys but nothing that gets escalated. Her foster mom feels she would do best in a home that either has a submissive dog or as an only dog to get all the attention she deserves. No little kids for this sweetheart, I’m sure she would adore them, but she is a bit of a bull in a china shop and may be too much for littles. She also has not been tested with cats. A fenced in yard is desirable for Mocha.
Mocha has had to undergo heartworm treatment twice. Her first treatment did not follow the proper AHA protocol and she just finished her 90 day treatment in June. She does need to keep her activities restricted for another month or so, but is very healthy. She is up to date on her shots, spayed and mircochipped.
Mocha is a great dog and deserves a wonderful home and family of her own. Don’t let her wait too much longer - it’s her turn, it really is. If you are looking for a fun-loving, big mush then this is your girl.
