ARRIVING MID MARCH Baxter is a precious pint sized pitty boy. He is the perfect combination of puppy playfulness tempered by a sweet and respectful demeanor. His foster mom writes: He walks well on a leash; goes in his crate, sits and waits on a treat; did not chew anything except his food; had no accidents in the house; and did not whine or bark. He played well with my 3 big dogs, was very respectful of my almost 16 year old blind Shih-Tzu and is the only foster that my almost 9 year old Labradoodle has wanted to play with. He comes when called, responds well to gentle correction from humans or canines and wants to please. When unsure, he initially cowers but looks to his humane or canine companion for guidance, and if reassured, then relaxes. He is a true gem. I was amazed at how well behaved he was, especially considering he is an adolescent dog with no known training and an unknown background. He is the whole package- adorable combined with a gentle spirit and a little skip in his step.
