​Egypt was surrendered to an urban NY shelter when her owner died. According to the family, she was purchased as a puppy and has lived with a cat and children as young as 3. She prefers male dogs.  Her surrender profile states: " Egypt  is described as being playful, excitable and a little shy but can be friendly once she warms up. She likes to follow her family around when they are home and be near them. She likes to play with toy balls and tires, and has been an indoor dog. She sleeps in her crate with a dog bed and eats dry food. She is house trained to go outside on any surface and knows the commands sit and paw. She walks on leash for exercise and pulls hard at times."
