​ Hi everyone...I'm Dimitri! I'm 6-7 months old and was found all by myself wandering around New York City. I spent a few days in the shelter and then someone came and got me out. I was scared of many things in the shelter so I was glad to leave. I have a heart of gold and am very loving but I need time to warm up to people, but once I do I will be your shadow. Being a puppy, I am at that critical point in my life where my new family will need to work on building my confidence so I can be at ease in new situations. I am dog social and have enjoyed the company of some of the other dogs in my foster home who are 50-100 lb dogs and I am cat safe.I would prefer a home with another dog to help show me the way and make me comfortable.  I love to run around in the yard with the other dogs and going for walks.  Its pretty apparent that no one has taken the time to show me how the world works but I'm so eager to please, I just need a little time and patience to get my confidence going.I am really food motivated and will do almost anything for a cookie. I really like the water and my foster mom thinks in the warmer weather I might like swimming.  I'm really a deserving boy! I need a family who can help me transition into my new surroundings. I'll pay them back in silly antics and a lot of affection.

Dimitri is available to a family who has experience with under-socialized dogs with the time commitment and patience to build his confidence. Adult home or possibly one with an older teen considered.  Other confident dogs a must.
