HOPE -- by any other name. 

This four year old rottie was a stray in Brooklyn. She arrived with an injury to her face (which has since healed) and did not want the vet to look at it. Once she calmed down in the shelter, she became a staff favorite. She is a quiet girl who would prefer a home without a lot of commotion. She has not been tested with cats, but will do best with older kids and another dog. She arrives late in July. 

Volunteer notes: What a perfect name for this gorgeous girl. Full of life, full of hope for a happily ever after, it’s clear to see that she’s enjoyed a good home before found walking around by herself. Her lush coat gleams with good care, she’s pleasantly plump, her leash manners are incredible, she’s likely housetrained, she sits when asked, takes treats super gently and shakes both paws.  She’s amazingly gentle and sweet, affectionate, comes when called, ignores other dogs we pass on our walk and is simply a gem.  With a smile that would light up a room, Hope enjoys company, allowed all handling at intake, and wanted to show off her sit and shake….awwwww….. Stepping into the wading pool set up in the yard she enjoys cooling her feet, bobbing for tossed treats, and simply cooling down on an oppressively humid day.   She’s as gentle as her name and already has a legion of fans, but needs her #1 fan, her new person, to welcome her into their home.   Someone is going to be incredibly lucky, shouldn’t it be you?
