Please meet Bandit. This 7 year old rottweiler was surrendered to the shelter because he was too excitable with a new baby and there wasn't enough room for him. (??!!!????) Bandit is 82 lbs of rottweiler who is unaware of his own size (sounds like a rottweiler to me!) He has lived with young children, and is great with other dogs, but never exposed to cats.
Per his owner at surrender: "Bandit is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and sometimes anxious. He has a very high activity level. He likes to play fetch, chase, wrestling, and tug, and with balls, Frisbees, squeaky/chew toys, and stuffed toys. His favorite activity is basking in the sun. Bandit was kept mostly indoors and is fully house trained. Bandit was rarely left alone in the home, but was well-behaved when left alone in the yard. Bandit has been crate trained and seems to enjoy his crate for as long as he is left in it. Owner stated that Bandit would sleep in his crate in the garage by choice. Bandit knows commands sit, come, stay and shake. For exercise, Bandit is used to running or playing in the yard. He pulls hard on the leash, but would stay close if let off the leash. Bandit was fed dry food only."
We are thrilled to welcome Bandit to the rescue! $250 adoption fee. Please visit our web site at 4theloveofdog.org for all adoption information
