Volunteer notes " Do not judge a book by its cover….Huge, bulky,  dark and a Rottweiler…He was named Tom Riddle….Right after his medical examination, his given name was changed so rightly to …Hagrid….A crowd of vet techs accompanied Hagrid to his kennel.  His weight was impressive…They were in awe! Such a good boy! Indeed, Hagrid is just a little lamb disguised in a big, black and beautiful beast. .Of course, I had to try him for myself…I plastered my hand on his door. Licks, licks, licks…Such sweet eyes…Yep, it’s a go. Hagrid was leashed in no time . He is ginormous   He must have been fed human food…A staff gives him a pet on the head. Hagrid likes that. We move slowly to the street where he starts to smell intensively his new territory . No canine scent should be left unsniffed and fully investigated. Hagrid is  little stubborn. Females passing by awake a little bit his attention  and motivate the completion of our walk around the block. Hagrid is quite patient and debonaire. He poses “graciously” for the pictures, takes treats very gently from my hand and mostly gives at once his paw upon request. How do you like that!!!! I fell under Hagrid’s spell and so did many at the care center where he is already a very much liked figure. Come and see Hagrid for yourself. He does need a home and a master to love.
