Profile:
BASIC INFO
Biggie is an adult male Rottweiler. His finder was jogging at the park 2 days in a row when he found Biggie. Biggie approached and ran with him. Biggie's fi
nder cared for him for 1 week and had to surrender him due to pet conflict.
SOCIALIZATION
Biggie is friendly/outgoing with new people. He lived with 3 children ages 2, 4, and 8 and was relaxed, playful, and tolerant with them. He plays somewhat rough with adults, jumping up on them. He plays gently with children, rolling over and lying next to them. He saw a dog in the lobby and they lunged, barked, and growled at each other. He hasn't bit anyone since his finder has found him.
BEHAVIOR
Biggie doesn't mind storms. He didn't mind when his finder touched his food bowl, took his toy, moved him off furniture, held/restrains him, woke him up, or bathed him. He enjoyed bring brushed. He was friendly with strangers who entered his home. On walks, he ignored most people he past but barked at one elderly man.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW
Biggie's family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, and high energy. He follows them around and loves to play fetch with balls. He lived inside and slept in his finder's bed. He ate dry Pedigree food. He's housetrained didn't have any accidents inside, and pottied outside in grass. He's well-behaved while home alone. He sits when asked and the children taught him to give paw. He went for brisk walks and pulled on his leash.
INTAKE
Biggie sometimes had a soft body and wagging tail while he approached me, sniffed me, and took treats gently. After his owner left, he pulled towards the door, whined, and moved around a lot; he was tense and wasn't wagging his tail. When he saw people through the window, he would freeze, stare hard for a few seconds, and suddenly begin lunging, barking, and growling. He sometimes ate treats I tossed him and sometimes was distracted.
