Born in early April, Shona was homeless in Alabama with her family. This bully girl (too big for a pittie, too small for a mastiff) is very pretty and waiting for a forever home.

Update from Shona's foster mom: "

She's pure puppy!  My guess is she was a bit under 12 weeks when I got her.  She is still exploring everything and taking it all in. She is timid in new situations (new dogs, kids, sometimes adults) but we are in the heart of the city and out and about everyday so there IS a lot to take in.  She warms up to other dogs- large and small- and becomes very playful.  She does not react to cats.  It's hard to say what parts of her personality will stick.  She seems like she'd be bossy if allowed.  She respects my authority but tries to be very bossy with Abby.  I think she will be appropriately protective if she continues to be well socialized.  She is still learning to appreciate her crate but settles in after a few minutes of complaining.  She won't separate from Abby and I (or lie down) unless she is VERY tired. She likes to be under my bed but that will not last much longer.  She is VERY food motivated- goes a bit bananas for food- but she is starting to sit and down for treats (she also runs into her crate in hopes of scoring a snack).  She can walk on the leash but still stops frequently. She is still working on understanding the "peeing outside" rule.   (I have a brown shag carpet that she thinks is for peeing and is successful about 1/day)
We take bathroom trips every few hours during the day, however, she can sleep 7-8 hours through the night, thank goodness!"
