Sassy is a lovely blue & white pitbull who comes from a wonderful family. She was meticulously vetted, trained and loved. She lived with four dogs and two cats.

One day her owner was taken to the ER. Now her owner is going to assisted living and will never come back. Sassy's home was sold and the cats and two of the four dogs were taken by family members. Sassy and a mixed breed brother were left behind and were destined to go to the shelter where they were going to be euthanized.

The mix (Ozzie) has found rescue with another group in New Hampshire, and Sassy is available from For the Love of dog. She is social with both dogs and cats. We don't know about children at this time.

Sassy is extremely loving - she adores people and can't get enough attention. She ignored her cats and was social with her canine family members. Sassy is looking for a forever home in New Hampshire now.

FOSTER UPDATE 4/11
She is ok in crate but has been left uncrated and is not destructive
(usually can be found sleeping when we spy on her with the dog cameras
we have!)  she is completely housebroken.  Walks AWESOME on leash.
And is non reactive when we meet other dogs on the street.  She will
however pull you to meet any human she comes across!   She LOVES every
person that she meets young or old (seems to like kids a lot).  Her
worst behavior is that she sometimes jumps up on people out of
excitement.  But when you correct her and say NO, she knows exactly
what you mean and stops.  She is mouthy but does it sooo gently.  Her
size (65lbs) and slight mouthiness might make her best for kids over
10 yrs.   She knows sit command also.  She LOVES to cuddle and true to
the breed provides some of the best doggie cuddles I have ever
received.  She plays with toys but will occasionally shred a stuffie.
She ignores our dogs for the most part but if they start a fight with
her she will react.  She has no guarding issues with toys, food,
bones, etc. She will let you take anything away from her and let you
put your hand in her bowl while eating. When off leash (in our fenced
yard) she sticks by her people and doesn't stray far.  She is truly an
ambassador for the breed. She is a mellow chill couch potato who has
short bursts of crazy fun.  She is everything I love about the breed
(friendly, goofy, super cuddly, outgoing at times but mostly lazy) Id
say she could be owned by anyone...even someone not familiar with the
breed.   Just as long as they are ok with a 65 lb lap dog! Have not
seen her with cats.
